Lead Sister

Lead Sister are the female-led faction of Scottish funk 'n' soul collective, The Tomorrow Band. The septet features Scottish Jazz Award-winners and musicians/ touring musicians made up from other established recording artists - such as Horse, The Shee, Macy Gray, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, and James Brown Is Annie to name but a few.

Noushy’s compositions try to explore and encapsulate what it means to be human, drawing on elements of jazz, hip hop, underground and Latin influences.

Fergus McCreadie Trio

Top class Scottish pianist Fergus McCreadie and his trio will be playing music from his latest album 'Stream' as well as some of his older compositions. This should be one of the highlights of this season at the Blue Lamp.

Chun-Wei Kang | New Song

A young composer with a unique voice - Chun-Wei Kang can often be heard spurring many of jazz's emerging figures from behind the drums. New Song is a manifestation of Chun's ongoing pursuit for sensitivity, understanding and praise. You can expect music which explores diverse expressions and landscapes from a quartet of strong characters.
